Karl started out as a Junior golfer based in Essex, England at the age of 15. After finishing secondary school he then embarked on a two-year intense golf program at the sports academy based at Stoke By Nayland hotel, golf, and spa, Great Britain. Here he excelled and completed the course and earned a National diploma in sports.
Karl played golf to a county-level representing the club until he turned professional in 2010 he competed in local regional events while simultaneously studying for his foundation degree in professional golf with the Professional Golfers Association. In 2012 Karl became an assistant coach for the Essex county academy program. This program saw the rise of many upcoming golfers rise to the next step and playing for the county’s golf team. He coached at Stoke by Nayland in England which is the home of one of England Golf’ s national training facilities. Karl trained under the watchful eye of Roly Hitchcock, who is one of England golfs coaches and also one of the UK’ s most qualified golf coaches being awarded the PGA level 4 UK sports coaching certificate from Birmingham University.
Karl graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2013 with his degree in professional golf. Karl’ s interests include Custom fitting for Drivers, irons and also putters, and is well equipped to use video analysis and radar technology to help, educate and develop his students.
Since embarking on his career at Yas Links, Abu Dhabi Karl has built a reputation for working alongside the Emirates Golf Federation to coach their players for the national development program, in this time he also teaches the players of the United Arab Emirates ’ Special Olympics team.
