Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Ian has worked across multiple golf clubs in Ireland, Scotland and most recently the UAE. Ian began his PGA Qualification at the University of the Highlands and Islands based at Royal Dornoch Golf Club in Scotland (Voted No.2 in the World by Golf Digest). He then continued his degree whilst working at Newlands Golf Club in Dublin, graduating in 2023 with a 1:1 Hons BA PGA Professional Golf Degree, and in doing so becoming the first Professional in Ireland to achieve this qualification.
Specialising across many areas, Ian has worked intensively with Beginner and Junior Golfers, growing the Get into Golf Programs both in Ireland and at Yas Acres Golf and Country Club.
Ian’s coaching philosophy focuses on the golfer, their goals, their swing, and their learning style to find the best approach to allow you to reach your goals.
Ian is a continuous learner and has achieved additional coaching certificates which he believes are key to his philosophy:
